The Workshop of Sounds is a 3-day intensive experience in London for foreigners who want to finally understand—and reproduce—the sounds of British English.
Three days to change how you sound in English. Forever.
The Workshop of Sounds isn’t an English course. It’s an immersive experience that teaches you to listen to and reproduce the sounds of British English starting from what you already know— your own phonetic system.
You’ll work in small groups using theatrical techniques, shadowing, and practical phonetics. By the end of the three days, you won’t just have learned—you’ll have the tools to keep improving on your own.
What you’ll learn:
✦ How English vowel sounds differ from yours—and why this makes listening so difficult
✦ The most common pronunciation mistakes made by European Speakers (often without realizing it)
✦ How to use the International Phonetic Alphabet in a practical way
✦ Techniques for self-correction and continuing to improve after the workshop
✦ How to sound more natural and credible when speaking English
How the 3 days are structured:
🌅 Morning — Interactive sessions in small groups – Applied phonetics, guided listening, and practice with personalized feedback. Led by Arianna and Aurora in rotating groups.
🎭 Afternoon — Theater and pronunciation workshop – Plenary session with theater techniques, shadowing, and work on authentic dialogues with British pronunciation. Led by Aurora.
📹 Before the workshop you’ll receive 2 introductory phonetics lessons in video format, which you can watch at your convenience. That way, we’ll use the three days together solely for practice.
Total: approximately 20 hours of intensive training.

Perfect timing (bank holiday), convenient location, great teachers, and nice classmates. A lot of fun…the drama part was amazing!
The best gift I could have ever given myself…I learned so much about phonemes and improved my pronunciation. Even though I’ve always hated phonetics and never thought I’d teach it to my students…I’m much more aware now and try to pronounce words correctly during my lessons…and it works!!!
