B1/B2 Speak Like a Native – Everyday English
About this course
Schedule: Mondays, 19:30–20:30 CET
Start date: 26 October 2026
Duration: 4 lessons
Want to sound more natural in English? It's time to go beyond textbooks and discover the expressions native speakers actually use!
In this four-lesson mini course, Chris will help you explore the everyday language that makes English sound more natural, expressive and authentic. Through four practical, interactive All Skills lessons, you'll discover how native speakers use phrasal verbs, idioms, false friends, proverbs and sayings in real-life situations.
What will we cover?
Lesson 1 – Phrasal Verbs: Unlock the meaning of common phrasal verbs and learn how to use them confidently in everyday conversations.
Lesson 2 – Idioms: Discover the colourful expressions that native speakers use to express ideas, emotions and opinions in more natural ways.
Lesson 3 – False Friends: Spot the tricky words that look familiar but can lead to misunderstandings, and learn how to avoid common mistakes.
Lesson 4 – Proverbs & Sayings: Explore popular English sayings, understand the ideas behind them, and learn when and how to use them.
How does it work?
This isn't about memorising endless lists of expressions! Each lesson focuses on understanding and using English in context, with practical activities designed to help you develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
By the end of the course, you'll have a richer vocabulary, a better understanding of everyday English, and more confidence using the language beyond the classroom.
